Kate & Juan, New York Yacht Club, Harbour Court

Kate and Juan were married at the New York Yacht Club's Harbour Court in Newport, a house that already feels like a celebration before anyone arrives. The day was elegant without being stiff: timeless in its details, modern in its spirit, and very much their own.

It began in the forecourt, with a classic car waiting and guests gathering on the gravel. Kate wore Vera Wang. Exquisite Events shaped the design of the evening, and Stoneblossom's florals carried it from the arrival through to the tables.

Some moments I love most from the day came late: the two of them pouring the champagne tower together, laughing as it filled, and the sparkler exit at the end of the night, with everyone they love lining the path. I shot it on film and digital, and those last frames are exactly why I still carry film.
